How We Help

We help connect families to support.

The Mosaic Project is part of the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Union County. While we don’t provide therapy or treatment directly, we fund trusted local organizations that offer mental health and substance use services for children, teens, and families. These services are made possible through state and federal funding, local levy support, grants, and strong community partnerships — so families can get help close to home.

Our Goal

Supporting the behavioral health and wellness of every Union County family is our top priority. We strive to make support feel welcoming, inclusive, and easy to access, so families feel confident asking for help when they need it.

WE LISTEN TO

WHAT FAMILIES NEED

We believe family voice matters. We gather feedback from families, youth, schools, and community partners to understand what is working and where more support is needed. This helps us make thoughtful decisions about which services to fund and grow.

WE MAKE SURE

SERVICES ARE IN PLACE

We invest in community providers to ensure there are a variety of supportive resources available — from prevention and early help to more intensive treatment — so families can find care that fits their needs.

WE MAKE

ACCESS EASIER

We work to simplify the process of finding help and remove barriers. Our goal is to make getting support feel comfortable and supportive,

not overwhelming.

WE FOCUS ON EFFECTIVENESS

We partner closely with the behavioral health organizations we fund and Union County youth-serving organizations to make sure care is accessible, effective, and responsive to each family's unique needs.

Youth Behavioral Health Needs

in Union County

Why is this critical? Union County is experiencing the same increasing youth behavioral health challenges that we are seeing aross the state and the county. These percentages are representative of youth reporting anxiety, depression, or other behavioral health concerns warranting further exploration by a mental health professional, as indicated on the 2024-2025 OHYes! Survey.
