A “community of practice” is a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals. Family peer supporters often feel isolated, or they may be the only family peer supporter in their particular organization or provider.  This Community of Practice not only allows Family Peer Supporters to connect with other Family Peer Supporters, but it also provides some trainings and presentations on topics that would be of interest to all Family Peer Supporters.  Some of our topics have been self-care, effective storytelling, healthy boundaries and de-escalation training.

We meet the second Tuesday from 11am-12pm virtually.  Please contact wren@mhrbuc.org to sign up or for more information!
